The press is fitted with a high precision motor driven central impression cylinder, manufactured from thick wall fabricated steel and checked for concentricity during manufacture to a total run out (TIR) of better than 10 microns. The cylinder is fully balanced, ground on its own bearings (to ensure smooth running during operation) and equipped with a single gear, which will drive all print units fitted to the CI section. The CI cylinder permits greater colour to colour register accuracy for improved print quality.
